Project Details

Organizer: Independently planned & executed

Location: Shanghai, China

Date: May 21–23, 2021

Role: Project Lead, Visual & Spatial Design

Format: Immersive Exhibition / Event Installation

Space Size: ~300㎡

Objective

To design a commemorative fan event that:

  • Celebrates the end of VIN Zhou’s R1SE era

  • Provides fans with immersive and sharable physical spaces

  • Enhances emotional connection through physical rituals (e.g., certificate stamping, farewell messages)

Concept & Theme

Avenir, meaning “future” in French, symbolized both closure and new beginnings.

The exhibition adopted the narrative language of a graduation ceremony, featuring photo timelines, interactive installations, and symbolic parting rituals. Visuals referenced campus architecture, soft florals, and nostalgic signage.

Visual Identity

  • Color Palette: Fan support color blue + white base + platinum accents

  • Mood: Elegant, ceremonial, emotional

  • Typography: Editorial serif + romantic cursive combinations

  • Branding Elements: Graduation ribbon, directional signs, personal quotes from fans

Spatial Planning

The venue was divided into 6 major zones :

  1. Entrance Floral Wall: Greeting visitors with VIN’s cutout and symbolic signage

  2. Main Photo Timeline: Documenting 2019–2021 events chronologically

  3. Viewing Lounge: Fans could sit and watch concert/reality footage

  4. Interactive Area: “Stamp your diploma,” write farewell notes, pose with life-size standees

  5. Installation Zones: Visually fill negative space with sculptural elements

  6. Ticket & Merch Booth: For check-in, wristbands, and staff coordination

Results & Impact

  • Over 700 fans attended over 3 days

  • Hashtag activity peaked on Weibo with 180% growth in fan engagement

  • Venue interactions and content output significantly extended fan memory cycle

  • Project stayed within a 25% optimized budget
